August 12, 2013 – NBA Superstar
Kobe Bryant went here in Manila, Philippines for a quick visit, not to play
basketball, but he is here for Lenovo’s Mobile “Walang Iwanan” event, his
lifestyle, power and elegance are the image for Lenovo Mobile cutting-edge and
flagship smartphone model – the K900.
The Lenovo A390, A690, A706, and K900 all run on the latest processors and
Android mobile operating systems, taking smartphones to the next level of
technology and sophistication.
I didn’t get a chance to meet
Kobe Bryant and have a photo op with him, but this standee is quite okay for me,
just to immortalize this moment to see him and cover his presence for my blog.
The
media event and press con was held in Passion restaurant in Resorts World
Manila. It was rainy and stormy that day and I arrived two hours before the
event. Bec. there’s no wifi in my home, I received an email and tweet from our
PR contacts that the press con was moved 2 hours later, too bad that I didn’t
read it earlier due to no wifi access at home.
Kobe
Bryant arrived and everyone started to do their coverage jobs.

John Royo, distributor of Lenovo Mobile in the Philippines,
answered - why it is called “Walang Iwanan” for Lenovo Mobile’s slogan, meaning
“never left behind”… he said that the phone is a brand that you can rely on,
it’s a smartphone that you can count on and be your reliable device in everyday
business, social media, transactions and communications. Bec. Lenovo Mobile’s
reputation is its durability, quality built, long battery life that can last for
2-3 days in one charge,

none other than our brand ambassador Kobe Bryant. Kobe exemplifies the qualities
