March 30, 2014 – It was our last tour in Baguio City, our friend tour us inside Camp John Hay, I remember that the last time I visited Camp John Hay was in the 90’s with my family and then for my first time it was in the 80’s for a Boys Scout of the Philippine Jamboree for 3 days, it was my first ever outdoor camping and this was held in the forest area of Camp John Hay.
Its great to be back here, I even forgot what to see inside Camp John Hay, all I know there’s log cabin style structures and some playground for kids. But its sad to know that those old log cabins are already gone. Some parts of Camp John Hay are being occupied by Ayala for their techno hub and mini malls.
Meanwhile back in Azalea Residence Baguio hotel, my family are enjoying the cold breeze by the terrace and mild rays of the sun, it was a great morning in Baguio, got a bit cooler after a short downpour last evening. Our day is to prepare for another adventure in Strawberry farm and in Camp John Hay.
It was a short ride from the hotel going to Camp John Hay. It’s a lot more easier if you have your own car and the driver knows where the exact location of this sites.
Our friend brought us here at the Historical Core of Camp John Hay
The Histrorical Core have some important sites like the Bell House and amphitheater, the History Trail and secret garden, the cemetery of Negativism, The Bell House libraray and the Totem Pole.
Also they have the Tree Top adventure, you can enjoy a tree top ride, zipline and tree top drop.
take note of the entrance fee.
You can visit this camp site for your picnics and play time with the kiddies.
