Its been close to 20 years since my last visit to a skin clinic or derma, during my youngling days, my parents are very concerned for the health of my skin, my mom said that we are so lucky in our generations that there are skin clinics and skin doctor that can take care of our skin, back in the old times, people live with acne and skin problems every day and skin treatment are not easy to access.
When my mom brought me to a skin clinic, I was so shy and embarrassed because all I know is that girls do the skin treatment regularly, and because I’m a boy, I don’t mind too much about treating my pimple or make my skin glowy under the sun. Its not an easy start for my skin treatment, I have lots of horrors back then, but as time goes by and with a monthly visit to my skin doctor, I was very appreciative on the result for my pimple problems. My facials is smooth and all pimples were gone as I reach college, I am very glad that I got the right treatment for my face and skin.
After my ROTC graduation, I went back to that old skin clinic to cure my fungal infection on my neck, its kinda weird that I acquired that fungal virus after being sun bathe during the ROTC graduation rites. It was the last treatment and I never went for more treatment because I no longer have skin problems but I regularly take care of my facials and make sure that they are clean.
Well, that’s only during my college years, all are okay, but then I got lazy and went back to my old self in not taking care of my skin, as I age, my skin starts to be more different. Its hard to maintain the smooth and clear from pimples. I got my first diamond peel last 2011 and I super love it, but its not affordable and I didn't went back for another treatment, im so lazy talaga.
And then my skin faced a new horror….warts…yeah those dark dots with skin tags that hangs in our neck,. I don’t know where I get it, but according to the skin doctor that I consulted here in Luminisce, Dr. Kaycee Reyes told me that the warts can be acquired via contagion from a cheek to cheek or beso beso activity or it can be from the genetic inherit from my parents, yeahh my dad got some of it.

I didn’t think twice because I want these wart neck squatters out of my body as the year 2015 starts. Its like my New Years Resolutions, and I was lucky that I discovered this 2 year old skin clinic that resides in the hearts of BGC, plus their founder Dr. Kaycee Reyes is very nice to us and it was like I knew her for many years. Its one of the doctor-patient conversation that made me very comfortable. Nahiya pa ko sabihin about my warts, but she knows my problem already as I met her personally inside her clinic office.

The founder and the skin doctor at work is Dr. Kaycee Reyes, I’m so happy that she even shared to me her short bio and her work experience when we first meet, I’m very impressed that she mentioned her personal views about her passion for skin health, beauty and wellness and also advocating health and wellness issues in our country, as she is a director of an NGO group that helps unprivileged communities in renovating their health centers and staff training.
Dr. Kaycee Reyes studied medicine in UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, she also completed dermatology and master of science in clinical dermatology from King’s College and St. John’s Inst. of Dermatology at Guy’s and St. Thomas Hospital in London.
Her medical service started way back 2007, with that time frame of lot of experiences, I can tell that I’m very confident that us skin patients are in good hands.
At the clinic of Dr. Kaycee, she told me how acne and warts live in our skin. Its kinda shocking that wart removal sounds easy to execute but always should be in proper care and specialist who will do it should be well trained.

She wants to let me try their famous luxury facial service, but then she told me that I should try it next time I visit, because my face will be covered with anesthesia lotion for the wart removal. But she told me that I should get first the Electro Cautery for the face (for the wart removal) and RF for my tummy. It’s a procedure that can make my face relaxed and my tummy loses some fat without medical surgery. It will be my first time and I'm game to give it a shot.
I even asked for her approval if its okay that I can document the process and blog about my experience here in my blog. She told me that its okay and there’s no problem with it.

Luminisce clinic walls are like royalty, its clean and everything is glowing. This relaxes me and I never felt any “kaba”
And now the facial massages and relaxation started. I avoided to fall asleep and I don’t want them to see me snoring while having a treatment hahaha.
Their staff are nice and very accommodating
they explained to me in every process that they will do to me.
The ceiling and the chandelier inside the room clinic. I stare at this while I wait for the next skin procedure.
Next is the RF, or radio frequency toning, this device sends radio signal to my tummy and it melts the fatty part under my skin and then it dissolves, I will flush them any minute via urine.
We measured that my tummy is 42 inches and after the session, I lost 1 inches only.
The staff told me if I go weekly here for the RF, I can lose more inches. But its better to accompany it with diet and a few exercises for better results.
Its ticklish as the RF device starts to vibrate and the metallic thingie starts to heat up.
Its painless and now I understand why a lot of women loved this kind of fat elimination service in any skin clinic.
After the RF, the staff started to put some anesthesia in lotion form in my facial and neck. Dr. Kaycee suggested that they will put more so that I wont feel the pinch of the electrocautery machine for the wart removal.
I heard how the service goes, but I thought it was laser, but the real thing is it just an electric current or a needle lightning that will kill the wart roots on my skin.
We waited for 30 minutes before the wart removal.

Because that I’m a bit nervous for the wart removal procedure, Dr. Kaycee assigned their best of the best staff for my wart removal. I can say that I felt 4 pain but everything is good and OK.
I’m impressed that her hand is so light and I didn’t even complained about the procedure.
It was a quick removal process, she got some small warts in my face and then took out the wart skin tags from my neck without any hassle.
I took a photo of this disgusting skin tags and here they are in photo – all burned from top to the roots.
And I felt relieve and fresh… a thing that hard to describe.
The feeling of like I was born again in this planet..

The wart removal is swift and smooth. I felt some pain afterwards, but the anesthesia is still present in my neck and face. Dr. Kaycee told me that the wart areas will turn blackish because of the skin natural reaction of the process, but that’s normal and it will be healed after a week.
She prescribed a cream lotion antibiotic that I need to apply on my neck twice a day. The antibiotic lotion will be applied for 1 week. And then she said that I should go back after 2 weeks for check up and see if there are some warts left.
I didn’t expected that the lotion is expensive in Mercury Drug. But that’s okay. The more important thing is…that the wart removal process is safe, successful and I’m in good hands with Luminisce Holistic Skin Innovations.
I asked Dr. Kaycee if its okay if I publish the rates here in my blog, but she told me not to publish it..
but that’s okay. I can say that the price and rate of their skin wart treatment is much more lower than that skin clinic I know in another city.
