June 20, 2015 – It’s the 2nd day of Toycon and it’s the craziest, exciting, and crowded day ever in our venue. We totally prepared for it and I learned that we already broke the record of the number of visitors on day 1 and I believe that we broke another record for day 2. Its jam packed and over crowded…I felt it right in my face because hall 1-2 is inaccessible due to shoulder to shoulder traffic.
I arrived at 10am and I nearly missed the ribbon cutting, I’m glad that I gave my tech booth partner Toto a copy of that Star Wars – Throne room music bgm. The ribbon cutting was fine and our front gate was attended by Jedis and 501st legion Philippine chapter.
I got in a state of panic when I noticed that the mini sound system was failing…due to loose cable wire to the speaker. I’m glad that the ribbon cutting was quick and I ran toward the tech booth and we played more Star Wars music when the all Star Wars cosplay group march down on to the stage.
I also met my program direction assistant, Dems, wearing our color coordinate shirt of the day…which I fail because I wore the wrong color for day 2 hahahaa.
The Star Wars group is on stage to announce the opening of Toycon Philippines 2015 day 2.
They also performed an awesome skit….. re-enacting some scenes from the movie. Here’s the 1st encounter of Darth Vader and Princess Leia, it’s a scene from A New Hope.

After some hours of fan film screenings and movie trailers from our movie partner, the panel talk for day 1 started when Luk Chee Chew went on stage to present his toy design creation, Dweey. It’s a giraffe vinyl toy with different design and with a functionality of a USB storage drive.
He shared that anyone can use the Dweey toy to create their own design, as a display, toy collectible, or décor at home. He brought some Dweey toy and he sold it at PHP 350 here in our event.
The Enchantment cosplay group, all are cosplaying Disney characters, they are here on stage inviting the Toycon visitors to meet them in person and do a free photo op.
Oneal of the 501st Legion-Philippines chapter invited Elrick Jundis, a pinoy actor who works in Skywalker Ranch, he shared his experience on stage and tell a story on how he was able to join as one of the Jedi in Star Wars Episode 2.

Warner TV game segment… that big beach ball is flying at the stage area..who ever catches it will win some prizes.
Marvel Comics panel by Whats a Geek, Flipgeeks and Komikon. They shared some news on what’s going on in the comics, toys, and movie universe of Marvel.

But the most highlighted cosplay sighting is Izabel Cortez, she went at our event dressed up as Harley Quinn from the Suicide Squad.

Rock concert segment… Toycon Philippines brought together the best of pinoy rock bands on stage. Here we invited the progressive band – Timeline Panorama.
Another rock metal hit at Toycon is the performance of the popular metal band – Valley of Chrome. Thanks to the Valley of Chrome band for sharing their metal music to our Toycon audiences..I just can’t believe that pop culture fans are also metal heads.
While there are some ongoing sideshows happening at the stage, It got some time to visit our Toy gallery area and also the toy customize contest.
We have the customized action figure contest, toy design contest, doll dressed up contest, and customized mecha figure contest. I noticed that all participants level of skills is getting better and better every year.

We also launched a Star Wars pin up art contest. and here are the entries of our participants.
The artwork with the word “Fett” won 1st place and the artwork with the title “ New Hope” won 2nd place.

Ashley Gosiengfiao, and her band Midnight Meetings, is here at Toycon, fresh from the Indie Rock Awards, performed their hit and also won a lot of love from fans. See that heart shape on photo.
Authority Hoodie showcased their new line of DC Comics licensed hoodies. The stage of Toycon was turned into a fashion show cat walk.

I spotted this Proton pack toy in one of the booth..and I remembered that I want this toy during my grade school days.. oh boy..I want to buy it..but I don’t know if I can wear it..because its too small for me hahaha
