National
Geographic Channel will air their latest and most talked about science series,
it will air tonight at 9pm and it will be the first to air in Asia. The
Philippines will be the first to see the science series “Breakthrough”, it’s a
docu about science, technology and how we evolve as we move forward with these
new science breakthrough, discoveries and learning.
It’s a series that
will open our eyes and give us new hope during the times we are deprived of
solutions or answers to the biggest problems that faced the entire human
race.
Breakthrough is also an epic docu series that comes with 6 episodes
with one hour each and directed by 6 different visionary directors that added
some Hollywood style and National Geographic Channel way of documenting and
telling real life stories to us.
In the 1st episode that will air tonight
with the title “Fighting Pandemic”, I thought it will be the boring episode
ever, but when I learned that there are real stories behind it and real people
who are working hard to fight the deadliest viruses, the science series
Breakthrough really caught my attention to watch, listen, understand and become
an advocate of the greatest science discovery and innovation that shared to us
via TV, everything will be shown here in the 1st episode of Breakthrough, and it
will require you to glue yourself and focus on what's the situation, the problem
and the fun part --- the solution to these problems.
Breakthrough
is produced by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Steve Michaels, Jonathan Koch and Mark
Dowley. The series is co-produced by National Geographic Channel and GE

"Modern science and technology are the keys to addressing the challenges the
world is facing today,By partnering with GE — as dedicated to science and
innovation as we are — and by working with top-tier directors at the
helm, Breakthrough will celebrate the curiosity, innovation and exploration of
our world, and spotlight the individuals and institutions at the center of these
groundbreaking achievements.” -- Courteney Monroe, CEO, National Geographic

“GE’s involvement brings a certain poetic justice to this endeavor, Thomas
Edison, GE’s founder, and Alexander Graham Bell, a founding member of the
National Geographic Society, are two of our greatest inventors. Their
breakthroughs laid the foundation for tremendous innovation and continue to
inspire generations of scientists and engineers. That same spirit will, no
doubt, be evident in every episode.” Brian Grazer, Breakthrough
producer
“We
take great pride in presenting Breakthrough to viewers in the Philippines as it
is a celebration of the relentless efforts of the scientific community to better
our lives and improve our environment, We hope that it helps viewers appreciate
how science has shaped our existence and how it will continue to help us evolve
into the future.” --- Jude Turcuato, Senior Vice President and General Manager
