The Pleasure store of Magnum Manila just re-opened for another year this 2016 and the new store or cafĂ© aka Pleasure store is now located at the 2nd level of SM Mall of Asia, its near BreadTalk and Uniqlo, its too easy to find it just look for the big “M” logo.
Magnum ice cream bar were a craze when it was first launched here in the Philippines, then last 2014 they opened their first Pleasure Store in SM Aura and then it closed down last July 2015 because they only plan it to stay there for a year and now after 5 months, they surprised us Magnum fanatics by opening the new Magnum Manila store in SM Mall of Asia last December 19, 2015, it caught us by surprised and we people living in the South are so happy with it.
The Magnum Pleasure Store is a concept store that is the same with other Magnum Pleasure Store around the world. There are branches in Paris, Istanbul, Dublin, London and other 17 stores around the globe, they call it Pleasure Store because it’s the store we can find pleasure to enjoy and appreciate the cold, sweet, crunchy, chewy, soft of a Magnum ice cream bar with toppings according to your likings.
The Magnum Manila store in SM Mall of Asia is a bit different compare to the restaurant style from 2014-2015 in SM Aura. The new store is now a bit small with no walls, covers and ceiling, you can come at the store’s counter, look at the toppings for your ice cream bar, buy your Magnum and you have an option to eat it in their dining area or just bring the Magnum with you and eat it while doing your shopping.
The new Magnum Manila offers only the make your own Magnum, other food and drinks are no longer offered (yet) just like in SM Aura, but I heard that they might offer some coffee and tea soon.
For a price of PHP 120, you are entitled to customize your Magnum with 3 toppings, 1 chocolate dip and 1 chocolate drizzles.
The liquid chocolates for the drip and drizzles are – white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. For the toppings they have:
Chopped pistachios
Freeze dried raspberries
Pop rocks
Honeycomb Bits
Potato chips
Sea Salt Flakes
Chili flakes
Roasted almonds
Parmesan popcorn
Pretzel
Choco crunch balls
Grape Nerds
Dried Mangoes
Queso de bola shavings
Yoghurt nibs
Gold nuggets
Crushed Oreos
Double Speculous cookies
There are 18 kinds of toppings that you can choose, and 3 kinds of liquid chocolates for your drip and drizzles. Buying it from the store is very quick, just pay it at the counter, then mention your toppings and then the chocolate drip. Then you just watch on how the store staff prepare it infront of you and give it to you, which you can receive it with open arms.
I’ve seen customers at the store watching how their Magnum is made right infront of them, and I can see that their eyes glow because of the excitement of their Magnum creations. Its really fun to see how your food is made infront of you.
Here’s what my Magnum is made of

- Nerds candy
- with Dark chocolate dip
- and white chocolate drizzles
The mix of toppings are based on my own customization…oh btw, I made that on my own too hahaha.
I just got lucky that they’ve allowed me to try it

Here’s a short walkthrough on creating your own Magnum at the Magnum Manila Pleasure store.
Choose your three kinds of toppings
Choose one chocolate dip
After dipping the Magnum, the toppings will be added next.
Then select one chocolate drizzles and this will be added to your Magnum with toppings
Of course, a Magnum logo will be added too
Here’s the final product --- a Magnum with toppings of sea salt flakes,almonds and queso de bola flakes with dark chocolate dip and milk chocolate drizzles.
Another version – with almonds, pistachios, chili flakes on dark chocolate dip and drizzles.
And my creation – the one with a Nerd candies.

Its my first time to try a Magnum with toppings, I didn’t got a chance to try the one in SM Aura, because the store is always full and the line is long, and also Im not a frequent visitor of SM Aura. Thank goodness that they put up a Magnum Manila store here in SM Mall of Asia. I always pass by here whenever I go home from Manila to Cavite.
Here’s my wife Lace of www.mommylace.com trying to customize her own Magnum. Btw, the make your own is just an activity when we were invited to try the Magnum Manila. So this kind of personal make your own is not really normal in the Magnum Manila store.
So try Magnum Manila now before it vanishes without a trace. hahahaha. Don’t worry, the store are scheduled to stay there til December 2017.

And here’s some treat from Magnum Manila, this January 22, 23, 29 and 30 and February 5 and 6, Magnum Manila will be hosting a FREE Make Your Own Magnum bar. All you need to do is visit the store from 6pm – 7pm during the mentioned dates so that you can be a part of the #MagnumPleasureHour, to qualify, you need to present a screen cap of a shared promo photo that are posted at Magnum Manila’s Instagram and Twitter @Magnum_PH , just show it and get your prize on the same day and time. There’s also a surprised that the Magnum Manila ambassadors will drop by to meet also the Magnum fans.
