For
the 2nd day of our VISIT PAMPANGA tour for April 2018, our last stop is here at
the Nayong Pilipino park in Clark, Pampanga. Nayong Pilipino is a park that you
can learn about the history and culture of the Philippines.
Many foreign tourist go here because you can experience the Philippines in
one venue. Each coners of Nayong Pilipino features the different attractions for
culture and heritage and you get to experience an all year round festival, just
to give you a taste of what the Philippines can offer.
I've
visited this place for the 2nd time and the 1st time was 3 years ago with son
for their school field trip.
Nayong Pilipino was formerly located near the Manila Aiport, and then they
moved it out city just to give a fresh look and better service for tourist and
student field trips.
Nayong Pilipino is the best place to bring your foreign friends if they want
to see more about the Philippines. Nayong Pilipino displays a lot of cultural
and traditional homes of Filipinos from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and also the
best part here is that the cultural show at their Nayong Pilipino theater, a
show that shouldn't miss.
Entrance
fee is very affordable, a hundred pesos can let you stay til the whole day here
in Nayong Pilipino. You can take a rest after your tour or go back again to
those attractions for your Instagram selfie.
Yes, the entire place is very Instagrammable.
Here
are some of the replica homes displayed at Nayong Pilipino.
This is an Ivatan
house in Batanes, and the structure is similar to what they have in Batanes. Its
just a replica and this is the comfort room or rest room of the park hahah
I know its funny...but wow! they build the walls of the house using large
stones.
Spotted
a vinta boat replica, which orginally can be found in Sulu and Zamboanga. We
have a festival of vintas claled the Regatta, which is scheduled every October
in Zamboanga City.
I
think this house replica is based in Tawi Tawi
In
Nayong Pilipino, you can also visit the stores inside to buy locally made bamboo
crafts. Some of the products are made by the aeta people who lives in the
mountains of Pampanga.
We
arrived at the small Igorot community here in Nayong Pilipino, they work here
and they are really from Cordilleras. They did some traditional dance and also
invited the tourist to dance with them and have a photo.
If you have a
question to them about their culture, just ask them and they will answer it
right away.
They
also showcase the arts and craft of the mountain people. They are good in wood
carving and also weaving
Local products area also available, just inquire at
them if you are interested to take home some of their finish products.
For me case, I really want that Igorot house.
Here's
one of the coolest attraction inside Nayong Pilipino. They have a small rice
field inside the park and they are maintained by the local park staff who are
also farmers. They told me that the entire small rice field is just a sample,
but it can produce one sack of rice.
More
awesome view inside Nayong Pilipino, the river and bridge you see in the photo
reminds me of our Malacanang Palace.
And also they have legendary and mythical characters in statue around Nayong
Pilipino. Here's a statue of Maria Makiling, the fairy goddess in Mt. Makiling
who protects the mountain and animals
More
building replicas from the best of the Philippines--- those heritage homes,
historical house and also there's a replica of the Barosoain church of Malolos,
Bulacan.
I
mentioned earlier that every corner is a good photo backdrop, so here I am doing
some photo shoot around Nayong Pilipino.
How I shoot? I brought my own
tripod for my smartphone and I pair a remote control shutter to activate the
camera to shoot.
One
of the best experience here in Nayong Pilipino is the cultural dance show inside
their theater. Wow! The performance of their singer and dancers are really a
world class performance!! When we watch the show, it gave us tears because of
the song and music strike us straight into our heart.
Each
performance is a wow! it will never waste your time. The last part of the show
that gather all performers is a big hit!! After watching the show, you will
realize that we're glad that we are Filipino.
