OPPO, a global leader in smartphone photography, unveiled its latest flagship model OPPO F7 in a grand star-studded event graced by endorsers Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto with special performance from Janella Salvador last April 19, 2018.
The OPPO F7 is levelling up its smartphone photography by packing a new 25MP front facing camera, powered by a best-in-class A.I Beauty Technology 2.0 for natural looking selfies.
Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom is the venue for the launch and it was transformed to reflect the cutting edge technology that the OPPO F7 is powered with. For the media guests, they provided an activity area with displays of the OPPO F7 and also art installations that reflect some hip and trendy interests of our generation today.
It was a sight to see indeed, lots of people trying out the booths, taking their selfies and even participating in some of the art installations. The event is well attended with both traditional media, bloggers and even social media influencers. Everyone was so excited to witness the unveiling of the new flagship phone.
The event started with the presentation from OPPO Philippines’ Brand Marketing Director and Public Relations Manager and shared with us the company’s success and talked about their latest flagship phone.
OPPO Philippines’ Brand Marketing Director Ms. Jane Wan announced that OPPO has sold over 4 million smartphones in the Philippines since 2014. She also shared the brand’s latest advocacy in combating online negativity and its role in capturing true beauty.
OPPO Philippines’ Public Relations Manager Eason de Guzman talked about the F7’s powerful performance, encased in a stunning body in solar red and moonlight silver colors.
The OPPO F7 garnered an outstanding pre-order number of 25,133 in a span of only one week, according to OPPO Philippines’ Key Accounts Manager Mark Del Mundo.

JoshLia a popular celebrity love team in the Philippines are OPPO F7’s Celebrity Ambassadors and also the brand’s spokespersons against online bashing. They shared to everyone their experience during the shooting of their commercial for OPPO as well as their thoughts about the new OPPO F7.
“This project with OPPO is so timely. We truly believe in the message of the campaign and we’re glad that OPPO has empowered us to the inspiring message of capturing and showing the real you with more people,” said Julia.
“Apart from the relevant message of the campaign, I’m also happy that OPPO chose us to be the endorsers of the F7, which is for me is the pinakamagandang model ng OPPO to date. All the features we want in a smartphone, they brought together in one unit,” Joshua added.
It was amazing to see them both and I think they are a good fit to OPPO’s campaign as well as their advocacy.
Let’s not also forget the presence of Janella Salvador and Janine Gutierrez who are also part of the star studded influencers and selfie experts. Janella performed for us by singing “How Far I’ll Go” from the famous movie, Moana, and another song from Dua Lipa called “New Rules” while Janine shot a few interviews and a short clip in one of the OPPO booths.

One thing I can say about the OPPO F7, is it is very elegant and very sleek looking phone. The 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant is priced at PhP 17,990.00, and is available in solar red and moonlight silver.
The 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant is priced at PhP 21,990.00 and have the color themes of the exclusive Diamond Black and Solar Red. The front camera is a 25MP f2.0 camera great for taking photos in lowlight situations and combined with the AI Beauty Technology your selfies or groufies will be taken up a notch. The back camera is a 16MP f1.8 camera which is also an amazing camera to have.
The auto-focusing of both cameras are above average for me as I’ve seen other phones have a faster capability in this arena but don’t get me wrong, it is still fast in having those focus right and give you sharp images and IG worthy.
Want a big screen real estate?
The OPPO F7 comes with a 6.23-inch Super Full Screen Display with 2280x1080 Full HD+ resolution for a crystal-clear, immersive viewing experience. While it it’s bigger than most phones today (which averages at 5.5” to 6”), the bigger screen size does provide a more satisfying experience and looks very vivid. Watching FULL HD+ videos and playing graphics heavy games will be very smooth through this massive screen. It also has good viewing angles and vibrant even on outdoor use.
The OPPO F7 offers an Octa-Core Cortex Processor with 2 A.I Dedicated Cores for more power. The RAM for this phone have a 4GB and 6GB variant while the ROM have a 64GB and 128GB variant.
