YouTube NextUp has chosen 12 applicant-creators from all over the Philippines to take the next big step for their YouTube careers. The contest that grooms up-and-coming talents on the platform will reveal the list of winners on September 7, 2018 at the BGC Arts Center.

NextUp Manila Class of 2018 introduces a new roster of creators behind local channels that viewers should watch out for. The lot includes four artists who are making waves in the local music scene; an interior designer with the magic to transform different types of spaces into beautiful homes; a champion athlete who impresses with his performance videos; an aspiring filmmaker who knows his Broadway musicals; and a spoken word artist that has audiences holding their breath for her next piece. Also joining them are two creators who are loved for their humor, a proud celebrity mom, and a charming Visayan beauty vlogger.
All the winners of YouTube NexUp Manila are set to receive training from NextUp mentors and alumni, a P100,000 production voucher to level up their gear, and guidance and strategic account management from the YouTube Creator and Artist Development team. Their NextUp experience begins in the creator camp, where they will have the team and resources to help them produce their dream video projects. Joining them in the camp are fellow winners and fast-rising names on YouTube.
Since it was launched in 2011, NextUp has spurred the growth of passionate creators from all over India, Mexico, Dubai, Russia, Brazil, and the United States, and the Philippines. It was launched in Manila last year, and has since enticed creators to invest in their vision for their channels and establish their names online and offline.
NextUp alumni Reneé Dominique performed as a frontliner at the YouTube FanFest back in May, Jan Maravilla of Team Lyqa has grown a community among students and test-takers with her video tutorials, and both Nate Punzalan and Helen Payawal (HelenOnFleek) joined #LovePhilippines, YouTube’s campaign for positive digital space.
