BPI account holders can now install the new mobile app and experience money transfer and transaction through the QR Scan to money transfer feature of the new app. The QR code scanning for cash transfer wirelessly was launched at the annual BPI Sinag ng Pasko Bazaar in Glorietta Activity Center.
QR CODE SCAN TO PAY / MONEY TRANSFER
The new service will let BPI account holders to transfer money easily without sharing important account number or mobile phone number just to transfer or receive money from another BPI account holder. All they need to do is open the BPI mobile app, then open the QR code scanner from the app, and target the scan to another BPI generated QR Code to transfer money or transfer payment from a shopping activity.

Tip: Its best that your BPI account is link to do ATM transaction, for those who are using BPI pass book only, make sure to apply an ATM card so that you account link to a BPI app can do wireless transfer via the QR scanning. If not, the BPI can do is to let you transfer money wireless but no sending out of money feature.
It means that the app works perfectly for those who have ATM card
At the BPI Sinag ng Pasko bazaar, we get to test the QR sca to pay feature of the app, but doing this kind of wireless and cashless transaction, we paid the merchant via the app, and the payment will be sent directly to their bank account and not to a virtual account. Also the money you used are taken from your real bank account.
