Its my 4th time here in Picnic Grove in Tagaytay City, my last visit here was with Lace during our weekend getaway when we were bf-gf, and before that was with my Coladilla family during the 90’s, I was carrying that big betacam video camera and documenting our picnic here and my last video was flying a kite that flew too high and I ran out of thread, I’m a grade B when it comes to kite flying.
But for this year, and for my 4th time, the latest is with my own family for the 1st time. I’m glad that the Picnic Grove is well maintained and never been abused, I remember that when I last visited Picnic Grove and People’s Park in the Sky 8 years ago, I got disappointed because it was poorly maintained, expect vandals and trash everywhere. For this new generation, I’m glad that they are now taking care of it.
My son was so hyper that afternoon, we played some bubbles, ran like the wind, and watched the sunset
Entrance fee is Php50 for kids and adults, but kids below 3 feet can enter for free.
Cottages can be rented if you want to have a covered picnic venue, or you can just bring your picnic mat or tent and set it up at the grassy field.
The last time we went here is via tricycle or jeepney, just go to Olivarez Terminal and you can ride there jeepneys with Peoples Park signboard or ride a trike for a quicker travel.
Its awesome to see more trees here.
