2017 UPDATE: THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW CLOSED
December
22, 2013 – This is the start of our day 2 tripcation here in Tagaytay City. Me
and Lace did some research about some restaurants here in Tagaytay, and we
spotted Celina’s Café and Restaurant offering a lunch buffet for a price of
Php325 per person. We read some reviews from different blogs about Celina’s and
according to them the food is okay and the price is affordable, after the blogs,
we decided to go there because my wife is craving for some good bulalo and
papaitan food.
Mama and Liza arrived here in Tagaytay to join with our
trip and they asked us where we will eat our lunch, then we suggested that we
should try Celina’s.
The food here in Celina’s is nothing special, its
just a carinderia style buffet, but for me that’s okay, the most important thing
is that my tummy got full after lunching there and I love their Chicken pastel
food.
Some of their food got less taste, but I think its their style just for
you to adjust if you want a sweet or salty food. The Php325 rate is so funny,
because they didn’t honor Mama’s senior citizen card to get discounts because
the original buffet price is Php600 and they cut it off to 50% off, it’s a bit
weird that they have a billboard and it says that their buffet price is Php325.
But that’s okay…. if you have that amount in your pocket and want to eat some
good food, especially if you want to slurp and bite over pinoy meals, then I
suggest you check Celina’s café and restaurant.
A barkada group meal here
is fine, but not recommended for people who are PRO foodie.
Price is
okay…food is fine… free viewing deck and free live music is a thumbs
up
Celina’s
café and restaurant is located along the Tagaytay highway and sit next to
Gerry’s grill restaurant and infront of Robinsons Summit Ridge.
As we enter the restaurant, I noticed that the set up is for
wedding or debut. Then I realized that this resto specializes in food catering
to seasonal events and celebration. Celina’s also offer their resto as a venue
for party and wedding parties.
They
have a trio of musicians playing modern and old songs to their guest. Feel free
to give them a tip, if you gave a tip, they will ask you to request 3 songs for
them to perform live. Giving a tip is not a requirement, you can say thank you
to them after playing a song.

best part here in Celina’s is that they got a nice view of Taal volcano.

The
