AYALA MALLS SERIN IN TAGAYTAY NOW OPEN
There’s a new mall in Tagaytay City, and this is operated by Ayala Malls, so what do we expect if Ayala Malls brought in their charm to the 2nd summer capital of the Philippines? answers are – restaurants, cafes, posh stores, grocery and Timezone!!
Don’t be surprised when you visit Tagaytay City anytime, and while you travel along Tagaytay-Nasugbu road, you’ll saw a some sort of a clone of Bonifacio High Street, The District or Harbor Point, its not a clone actually, but it’s the new line up of mall called Ayala Malls Serin.
I’m not sure why they use Serin and not The District, we expected that it will be called The District Tagaytay because they promoted it on a tarp during the construction 2 years ago. I did some Google-fu and I learned that the word “Serin” is a Latin word that means “calm”. There’s another meaning but it’s a name or call to a tiny bird.
Ayala Malls Serin opened its doors last April 1, 2014.
The structure of the mall looks like The District in Imus, but it resembles some likeness of the Harbor Square, and the grassy park like in Boni High Street. I didn’t expected that they will open this summer, thanks to my wife who babbles this Serin few days ago.
It started when she shared to me an info about a gourmet market and Mercato in Ayala Malls Serin. but when I heard it from her, all I can remember that is from Ayala Malls, I missed the “Serin” thing and my brain thought that it might be in Boni High Street.
Then she went to Tagaytay City few days ago and then she sent a message to me via Facebook and she keeps on mentioning Serin x gourmet market x mercato x grocery x mall. I didn’t get the picture, and I ask her what is Serin, where is that, is it in Robinsons Summit Ridge and then I learned more after she sent me some photos of the Mercato, the Walter Mart grocery and the stores inside Ayala Malls Serin.
I freaked out when I learned that they have a Timezone!!!! Now my foot started to itch and then I followed my family in Tagaytay on April 3 ahhahaa.
We visited Ayala Malls Serin this afternoon and my wife accompanied me for a short tour hahahah.
The new mall sits near a condo unit building owned by Avida ( under Ayala too), they call it Avida Serin, its still under construction and I think this mall will serve as their commercial spot.
It’s a three storey building, but I’m not sure if they will add something at the top floor. There are lots of escalators around and lots of check points too.
I super love how Ayala Malls make us be closer to nature, they add lots of flowers and plants around the mall, maybe just to fill in those empty spaces. They also have a plant box in all levels and a hanging garden on every floor. wow!
Flowers will be colorful and fresh for a long time here in Tagaytay, because of its cold weather. Imagine, lots of flowers blooming in every floor of this mall.
I also love the idea that they allowed people to have a picnic on the grass.
Problem here is that…parking is so small.
One of the best is that this mall is a pet friendly mall…

Here’s the Mercato Centrale food fest
It’s a bit smokey in this area, majority of the food sellers are all BBQ, baked food and fresh produce.

I think this is the most organized….spacious….neat….grocery here in Tagaytay City.
We love this na.. hahahaha.
Pero riding a jeepney back to our place is so difficult at this time, jeepneys are so rare because it’s a holy week – good friday.
I will visit this next time…I spotted an outlet store that sells some cool back packs!!!!
We tour around Ayala Malls Serin…checking out the stores and also the restos. I spotted two spa centers at the 3rd floor, I might check that on my next visit.
Hallelujah!!!!! Timezone in Tagaytay!! its so weird…but I wish for a TOYS R US or a TOY KINGDOM last year….but its okay..Timezone is the next best entertainment center for us kid-dults
no Guitar Hero or Drum mania…. I hope they add the new arcade machines next time.
My son spotted that rubbery-robotic dinosaur in Timezone.
For a price of PHP 30 at Timezone, you can ride this dino for 3 minutes.
You can also control it to walk to the left or right.
My son got scared in riding some ride on for kids, so to take away that fear, he asked me to join and ride with him on the dino.. awwwww
The dino walks….. and not rolling like a bumper car.

At the end of our short mall tour with my family, our last stop is here in Lucina store. It’s a furniture and fixture store, all are cute and grabe ang bango sa loob ng store na ito.
We checked and inquired for the price of that wooden picnic dining table, its cute kasi, but we have to measure our table size back home, because their stock in the store is too big. But the store guy said that they can do custom made and also design more cute and weird furniture according to our preference.

And I can’t believe that its my 1st month of zero coffee.
I shifted na in drinking tea at home.
I have lots of tea bags – different brands and flavors. I also got that cute tea pot from TWG tea. I have the good stuff already but I don’t have yet my own tea cup.
I saw these set in Lucina..and grabe…. priced at PHP3k each!!
