Our
new year holiday staycation just ended and we need to go back home because it’s
a back to work and back to school the next day. But before we leave Tagaytay
City, we should eat first our lunch and savor the taste of the home style
cooking of Nanay Deling.
Nanay Deling cooks at her eatery canteen at
Mahogany Market, we discovered her mini eatery years ago during our weekly stay
in Tagaytay. They formerly occupy a small space at the side walk (bangketa) and
then after some years, all eatery and canteen was ordered to transfer to a new
building as their city ordinance to observe a clean and organized
business.
here’s their former canteen last January 2015 -

after 5 months, all canteens should transfer to a new building -

Deling’s cooking is the best here in Tagaytay City. I always recommend it
through my blog and also word of mouth. Their dinuguan is a best seller and also
the papaitan, kare kare, bulalo, crispy fried tawilis fish and
caldereta.
Nanay
Deling can be found at the 2nd level of the new building of Mahogany Beef Market
and Bulaluhan
When
we arrived there… the entire spot is jam packed with tourist from Manila.
We
were lucky that we got a parking space for our van when arrived here.
And
when the parking space is full…expect the over flowing of tourist eating their
lunch here in Mahogany market.
We were so lucky again that there’s a
long table waiting for us at Nanay Deling’s. So we sat there and ordered our
lunch meals right away.

Lace
ordered a Pork Binagoongan, but I didn’t got a nice pic of it.
Here’s my
wife Lace helping my son to eat some crispy tawilis fish
Because
the entire area is jam packed with tourist, here we sat next to a group of
family eating their lunch too.
