Im here at the Philippine grand launch of Huawei P30 series. One of the most talk about smartphone this month because the new upgrade includes a super zoom and a new tech for mobile photography.
We saw the teasers, the ads and also leak and we’re so excited to do a hands on test with the flagship mode - the Huawei P30 Pro.
Today, Huawei Philippines unveiled the availability of their 3 kinds of P30 -- the Huawei P30 PRO, Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Lite.
During the launch, we are so lucky to meet Ms. Pia Wurtzback, former Ms Universe queen and also brand ambassador for Huawei smartphones.
Here on the photo, she is using the Huawei P30 Pro.
At the event, we got introduced to the new tech upgrades of Huawei for their Huawei P30 series, and also we got a chance to use some of the demo units -- as you can see on the photo above, I snap a photo using the Huawei P30 Lite.
Im so amazed with th Quad Leica camera of the P30 PRO and also Im super impressed with its super zoom photo and video mode. And also I super love the wide angle lens thats around 0.6X wide for the rear camera of the P30 series.
I just observed that P30 PRO only has the 50x zoom because it has 3 lenses at the rear, but for the P3) it can do only 30x zoom and same goes to P30 Lite.

The colors of the body is so cool and neat.
The body is slim and the screen size is at around 6.47 inches. Screen to body ratio is 90% and they used a teardrop shape for the front camera just to expand the screen for your viewing and operation of the P30 PRO
A professional travel photographer showcased what the Huawei P30 PRO can do. And the photographer showed to us that he used the 50x zoom in taking photos of this Tarsier, and his distance from the photo subject is too far and almost 50 steps away from the Tarsier.
Huawei P30 PRO’s night mode tech performs much better now.
Here’s a slow shutter mode - 30 sec shot of the super dark landscape of Mt. Mayon, but after taking a photo with the P30 PRO it displays a lot of beauty that the human naked eye can’t see.
One of the most interesting part for the P30 series is the 0.6x wide mode. The photographer took this photo while on a helicopter. He took it with a bad framing, but then he later cropped the photo to show the best part of the Mt. Mayon. Perfect shot of the perfect cone shape of the volcano.
I tried using the demo unit and Im amazed with the 0.6x wide shot of the P30 PRO

It may look like as the P30 PRO but it only lack the Leica camera brand. Almost the same but the secondary rear cam is at 16MP only.
Huawei P30 PRO and P30 has ths Dual View Video mode. It means that the rear camera on the phone will activate at the same time - the one lens is set at a zoom and then the 2nd lens is set at a wider angle.
Im not sure why Huawei added this, maybe its build for fun.
