Project Choco Black production note 5 ( final note)

This will be my last production note for Project Choco Black, which I will unveil it today as the event project - The Black Market Ex. Been helping the organizers around and so sad to hear that we need to postpone the event due to massive event schedules for the month of November. And it is also to give way to other events happening in the same month, in order not to suffer some conflicts in both ends. I'm happy that the public accepted the postponement of a big event project, a new event for hobbyist and collectors.

But it's okay, I just got a txt message from my Toycon boys and they said that December Toy Fair in Megatrade this year will be big, as giant toy companies from abroad will join. I'm excited! super!
So as of now, will inject a sleeping drug to Project Choco Black and will wait til next year.

This is my photo coverage of the exhibit opening of Cory: Isang Pagpupugay exhibit at SM Mall of Asia. The event was well attended by friends and family of Cory Aquino. Press Photographers and media personnel did a great job in covering the historical funereal services for Cory Aquino.

Top photographers from international and national news agencies pay tribute to the late President Cory Aquino in a week-long photo exhibit dubbed “Cory: Isang Pagpupugay,” which opens on 5pm, September 9, the 40th day of the iconic leader’s demise, at the SM Mall of Asia.

The exhibit will feature photos from the five-day funeral services for Aquino which have appeared in major international and national publications, and some unpublished pieces.

Chief photographers from four international news agencies – Bullit Marquez from Associated Press, Erik de Castro of Reuters, Ted Aljibe of Agence France Presse, and Dennis M. Sabangan of European Pressphoto Agency – who have extensively covered the series of events from Day 1, conceptualized the exhibit.

“We were awed and inspired by the great images we got, especially the outpouring of emotions and support. Of course, the late president herself was an inspiration, given the legacy of democracy that she left us. It was simply impossible to ignore that,” Marquez said.

The exhibit will feature 60 large prints courtesy of Kameraworld, and a digital slideshow of about a hundred more moving images from the various events.

Other photographers whose works will be featured in the exhibit include Ernie Sarmiento, Joan Bondoc, Rem Zamora, and Lyn Rillon of Philippine Daily Inquirer; Val Rodriguez, Joven Cagande and Ed Gumban of Philippine Star; Tony Pionilla, Rudy Liwanag, Linus Escandor, Robert Viñas, Ali Vicoy and Roel Umali of Manila Bulletin; AJ Rosales of Manila Times; Aaron Favila of Associated Press; Bobby Ranoco and Cheryl Ravelo-Gagalac of Reuters; Jay Directo and Noel Celis of Agence France Presse; Rolex dela Peña, Francis Malasig and Alanah Torralba of European Pressphoto Agency; and freelancers Noli Yamsuan, Egay Montana and Jay Morales.

Sunday bloggers lunch at Whistlestop

Whistlestop Sunday bloggers lunch
The Beef Salpicao with Garlic Rice is one of the top seller at Whistlestop Restaurant in Jupiter St., Makati City. I was invited to check out the place along with the food bloggers last Sunday, and it was a great experience for me, because Whistlestop is very popular back in high school and never heard of it after I graduated College, then I discover the news from Lex Ledesma, now the new owner of Whistlestop, he said that they bought the rights of the resto after the main owner already migrated to the US back in 2005. And now the Makati branch is the only one left after its predecessor in Tomas Morato and Makati. The Beef Salpicao is one of my best favorite, and because I love tomato sauce and spice, plus the soft tender juicy beef, It taste like caldereta, but I enjoy it most due to its soft meat. At a price of P230, this meal is a two thumbs up for me.

Whistlestop in Jupiter st., Makati City, is a 24 hour resto, equipped with wifi internet, cable tv and a very vintage train station and train cab feeling as everything inside and from the outside will teleport you to the year of the 50's or 60's. Vintage bottles of softdrinks, tv, typewriter, clocks, luggages, light lamps, suit, and even cameras are displayed as the main interior decor of Whistlestop. The place is a must visit especially if you are a travel and photography lover.

The light is dim, and it added lots of vintage effects everywhere, you won't even remember that you are in Makati. I love the set and decor , the vintage feel will make you enjoy more of the food. They also serve all time breakfast meals like a sunny side egg and cornbeef, you must try it and you'll taste it's uniqueness. Master chef are also from the old branch, and they are so lucky that they got the vintage and old taste of Whistlestop since it was open last 1977.

Travel adventure in Trece Martirez, Cavite

Food Bloggers event at Republic of Cavite restaurant, Trece Martirez, Cavite
Its a long travel ride from Manila and an hour away from our home here in Bacoor, Cavite. Me and some Cavite bloggers and bloggers from Manila went to Trece Martirez to try out a food event at the Republic of Cavite. Jori left Angono at 9am taking the coastal route, while Don and Fitz drove all the way from Paranaque and took the GMA-Dasma rout, Chris lives in Dasma, its a 30 min. jeepney ride from his home going to Trece. Its easy to go to Cavite but its hard to go back home at night. Traffic is expected in Imus and Bacoor.

Below are some photos of sites we visited in Trece.

statues of the 13 martyrs located infront of the Trece Municipal hall, the name Trece Martirez came from the 13 martyrs who died in a death trial after they were accused of being a traitor to the katipuneros. Although, the allegations were not proven.
