Phone interview later with Danny Choo

Its a great opportunity that I got selected by Animax to interview the anime and pop culture blogger Danny Choo. He's having his tv show "Culture: Japan by Danny Choo" premiere in Animax on Dec.18, 2010 at 9pm (MY/PH), the show is about all things Japanese pop culture, from anime-manga-jmusic-jfashion-toys-dolls-gadgets and many other interesting stuff that can be found only in Japan. The show will be our window to Japan and be updated on the latest trend and pop culture thing that Japan has created for all of us.

Toys, gadgets, cool and weird gift items at 10th World Bazaar in WTC 2010

Oh yeah! It's the month of December and it means that Christmas shopping is back and our local tianggees and bazaar are just there in every corner of the city and because that I started this shopping project and hunt for the best gifts for Christmas, we're going to cover some of the most popular shops, stores, malls and bazaars. In this post, we feature the 10th World Bazaar in World Trade Center and this is my 3rd leg of the Christmas gift hunt. The bazaar started last December 3, 2010 and it will end on December 20. There's an entrance fee of P50 and the venue occupied by hundreds of vendors.

Mindstyle and Team Pacquiao launches "Mini Manny" art toy figure

You can now own this Mini Manny figure for only P2,500. I don't know as of now the exact size of this mini figure, but will wait for Mindsytyle Ph's reply. This is the small version of Manny vs. Mickey Mouse art toy set (priced at P25k both set) that was launched months ago in Team Pacquiao store in Robinsons Galeria.

Start of my toy catalog project

I just decided to create an online catalog of all my toy collection. It will also include some of my toy gadgets, comics and play stuff. This will be used whenever a TV or print ask for a photo of my collection and will be used for their reference. Been receiving lots of request of photos of my collection and it will be for their tv or print feature.

I'll shop for items needed for a solo photo shoot of my toys and it will serve also as my practice in product photography.

Saw some affordable and cheap stuff at walkway of Landmark going to Glorietta, the store is infront of French Baker. I saw lots of cute stuff perfect gifts for kids and girls. For example, I'm itchy to buy this Totoro speaker pillow, you can jack your iPod or any audio devices, and I'm surprised that it is a Totoro!

Useful gadget stuff at Rustans (perfect for gifts this Christmas)

I really enjoyed to roam around and check the men's department in Rustans in Makati, and saw that they refreshed their gadget display and saw some new gadgets and also some old items still on stock. And here I am again looking for some useful gadgets, I'm sharing it here and this are a perfect gift ideas this coming Christmas. Above is the Powermat wireless charging station, all you need to do is plug it to the power socket, and then place your phone on top of it, and then observe that the unit will be charged.

Characters and Geeky shirts at SM Department Store

I visited SM Department store her in SM Bacoor and I have here a P500 in my pocket and looked for some useful gadgets and then I found these new t-shirt releases displayed and for sale inside SM Dept. Store. Price ranges from P200 to P350. My eyes got attracted when I saw this cool Thundercats shirt and then saw a Mazinger Z and Voltes V shirt on the table. I used my Nokia C3 in taking the photos of the shirt.

16 survivors of the Star Movies’ movie marathon

I forgot to share this news to everyone about the recent Star Movies movie marathon contest that was held in Newport Mall cinema in Resort Worlds Manila. 16 movie fans survived the whole day movie marathon and will share the 100k pesos prize pot, they survived the long wait, challenges and cool airconditioned inside the cinema. I was there to observe and all of them are so serious in watching a movie, but hey! I haven't watch The God Father movie, If I'm one of the participant, my butt will be glued in the cinema seat, but too bad that I backed out a day before the event, I just realized that the I can't survive the day without any CR break.

A series of assassinations and killings served as the climax for both The Godfather III and the fight for the P100,000 grand prize for the year’s Star Movies movie event held at the Resorts World. (more news below)

Arroyo filed House Bill 1221 or the “Toy Safety Labeling Act of 2010”

interesting news! I hope that bootlegs will be banned and other toys that contains hazardous chemical that uses to paint or mold the toys. In my recent tv interview about toys, I mentioned that parents should be aware of this and also read the labels of packaging of the toy for contents and suitable for an age group.

MANILA, Philippines – Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is pushing for a measure that would standardize the labeling requirements for toys and games of children to protect them from potential hazards to health and safety.

Arroyo filed House Bill 1221 or the “Toy Safety Labeling Act of 2010” co-authored with her son Camarines Sur Rep. Diosdado Arroyo seeking to provide the requirements for special labeling of consumer products.

The former president said the measure seeks to protect the interest of children and promote their general welfare as a state policy.

Arroyo said the state shall provide safety and quality standards for consumer products by requiring that a consumer product for children be marked with or accompanied by clear safety warnings or instructions.

“A law that would protect children against hazards and safety and the provision of adequate rights and means of redress is imperative,” the younger Arroyo added.

Busy mode for the 1st day of December 2010, I got sick last night and slept early to recharge my body, I got sick the other day and maybe the flu went back after I got tired from a long trip yesterday. I was about to attend a museum tour this morning, but I decided to sleep and rest because my body is rejecting too much work already.

I'm having a photo shoot later at 1pm with the Coca Cola Live Positively bloggers ambassadors and later on I'll race against time to attend a Samsung x Forever 21 x Fashion bloggers event in SM Megamall, Lace will be there and will present some of her style design using Forever 21 clothes and accessories, I heard it will be a contest and hope she win. (sana Galaxy tab yung prize hehehe)

And I'm busy too in managing my phone, I got lots of txt and calls yesterday and I'm having a hard time to back track all those calls and txts, some of them are event invites and others are inquiries. I sent the invites to my bloggers network for the event and now I'm busy managing my schedules for this week. I'm really excited for this Saturday because someone sponsored our Christmas shopping, super happy talaga, will post a blog on Saturday night after our free shopping.
