Its good to hear that we have a new public park that was opened for the community of Alabang. The Ayala owned park is a new venue for everyone to enjoy free space, nature and also participate a series of community events. Thanks to Ayala Land for placing Avida South Park District on the map of Alabang, along the National Road in Muntinlupa City.
They also call it their very own Central Park, the park will be filled with lots of trees and grassy ground for everyone to enjoy a piece of nature even if they are in the busy city filled with buildings and also passing motorist.
It was my first time there and Im impressed on how Avida introduced their new hub. The area already had the Avida Land condo building – Avida Towers Altura, and then right now the construction of a new mall – South Park Mall will open sometime next year. The park is not just for the residents of Avida Tower Altura, it is also for everyone who want to relax, take a breather, enjoy life with nature, and a place to bond with family and friends.
Imagine a new park just like Bonifacio High Street, Greenbelt and added with lots of green and trees.
For the awareness of the new park, they organized an event called “Chill Out Fest”, they invited our local singers and artist to perform their songs from the Avida home CD album – “Tunog Natin”. Artist – acoustic singer Davey Langit, former vocals of Rivermaya Jason Fernandez, female vocals of Kiss Jane Jaq Dionisio, singer Markii Stroem, Thor Dulay, Princess Velasco and top billed celebrity of ABS CBN Enrique Gill – were there to perform and also meet their fans.
They set up a stage for the music concert event featuring the artist of “Tunog Natin”. All guest and audience sat on the grass enjoying the last minute of sunset and cool air in Alabang at night.
2 giant inflatable slides were put up for kids who want to have fun and do some physical activities with other kids.
A live mural art for all was opened. Kids and adults can come here to paint, draw and color the South Park District tarp wall.
The event emcee welcomed everyone in South Park District.
The audience brought their friends and family in South Park District to enjoy a free entertainment and program organized by Avida Land.

I noticed this kid roaming around and was enjoying the free space while a live music is played on stage.

I heard that there will be more events and community activities lined up for the coming months in South Park District. Im sure there will be bazaars, pet events, sports event and also musical concert in the start of 2016. For the near end of 2015, expect a Christmas bazaar or maybe a Zumba marathon for the community of Alabang.
