A world record: Bambanti scarecrow street dance - Bambanti Festival 2019 part 8

The major highlights of the Bambanti Festival is the grand street dance of people wearing scarecrow costume dancing in sync with the festival music.  The most interesting part here is that Isabela was introduced to the world as the feat of the street dancers set a Guinness Book of World Records for the largest group of dancers wearing scarecrow costume dancing on the same music.

The Bambanti Festival world record setting is spearheaded by Isabela Governor Faustino “Bojie” Dy III and Vice Governor Antonio “Tonypet” Albano, in an interview with us media and blogger, they shared to us that every year they try to make a different kind of festival, it means that the festival attractions and activity that you experienced last year won’t be done again on the present year, because they want a different kind of Bambanti Festival every year and want to offer fresh and new festival for the country, that’s why Bambanti Festival was awarded for three consecutive year by Aliwan Festival as one of the best festival of the Philippines, and now they are awarded as the Aliwan Festival Hall of Famer.

A total of 2,495 scarecrow dancers participated and was inspected each by each by a representative from Guinness Book of World Record. The scarecrow dancers march and paraded on the oval ground near the Isabela Capitol ground and they danced together with a new Bambanti Festival music theme that was created for 2019 only.

Right after the world record setting, the scarecrow dancers changed their costume and went up on stage for their musical performance for another competition.
