here's a rare event that we should not miss! I wonder who are the otakus in our government, hmmm. As I heard one of the winning candidate in the previous election is a gamer otaku, and I wont tell who it is, hehehe, he's a big online game player. How do we enjoy our life and how our daily activities became so fun and enjoyable, there are lots of activities in store for us and Manila is the biggest playground in the city and performing one activity is just a tip of the ice berg, I like to go to the mall, shopping, watch movies, or play at the video arcade is one of the mall activity I like but that was the time when I was in my high school and college years, but today I'm an adult now and got lots of hobbies, my activities expanded and now I enjoy more and having a hard time which activity will I do today, maybe bringing my DSLR camera and do a photo walk is one my best activity, or go to any resto and eat new dishes and do reviews for my blog, and attend events and meet new people around it. o di ba? dami activities noh? but in sports, medyo sablay na ko, I do aggressive inline skating and that's one of my best and favorite outdoor activity, but I need to do more outdoor thing and looks like running is the in outdoor activity. How do you enjoy Philippines?

We can have a list of activities that we can do and perform the weird ones, like that apocalyptic training that I heard performing outdoor sports like paragliding, scuba diving, sky diving, rock climbing and survival training, okay that's very hardcore already, but that's only an idea ha.

MOVIES: Karate Kid 2010 movie review by a kung fu master blogger

Everyone is talking about this movie and there's a big debate about the title and the story of the movie Karate Kid starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, son of actor Will Smith. But there are mixed reviews from good to bad one and raves from new viewers of Karate Kid and some purist and fans of the classic movie by Pat Morita and Ralph Macchio.

The classic film is played every time in our local cable tv and also in a local channel and I heard that many viewers didn't like the classic film, while others aimed to support the new film, but given the respect to the classic film, some say that Jackie Chan Karate Kid is for the new generation and an ongoing legacy of discipline, respect, hard work, and love of the classic Karate Kid. I just saw the film and I'm posting here my reviews and some reactions.

editing the 9th Philippine Toy Con poster

Theres a lot of drama already in creating this event poster and it was the hardest moment for me and it was like designing the poster last year, which needed a lot of inspiration, but today the poster was a collab design with the people of the official licensee of DC Comics, so its hard to design it and requires approval from their global office. I waited a week for the added design and just used the old layout from the previous poster and pasted it here in the new poster.

I also added new toy figure images that matches the theme today, its so sad that we can put any Marvel figures and it might get a conflict with our event partner DC Comics. Last night was the last render of the poster and the sad part is that, another poster was created with out my knowledge and it will be printed as our official poster, but my layout is good as they say and this will be used for other collateral, kainis talaga.

The entire web community got a new hobby for this month, and that's watching and talking and also catching Christine Reyes online at BlogTV, I just saw this plurk post from my network and she said that it was really Christine Reyes who is online and posted a Twitter post and link to her live video streaming page at BlogTV, I was curious and logged in and surprised to see her online and talking to her fans via chat and also in video, lots of people are requesting to greet them and then I took the chance to type my name and let her greet me, too bad that my internet connection is choppy which I missed the part when she greeted me, my wife and my son. She also invites everyone to vote for her for the FHM sexiest women.

I immediately log in to my BlogTV account, I'm glad I have an account there and added Christine Reyes' profile in my network and there I will be notified via email every time she will be online. The first time I saw her online is that she's wearing this black nighties and then after some video chat, she started to remove it one by one, oh wow! it was a free show for all hahaha and all my guy friends got crazy, kinda teases us, but she told us that she is out of the country, the following day we saw her again online and preparing to attend a night out, and then the following day again we saw her jamming with Bugoy inside the bed room, singing and dancing, and couple of days ago I saw her tired and looks like she lacks a lot of sleep, and last time I saw her online was last night, in a black blouse and busy talking to people.

We have here the actual photo of the art toy collectible set of Manny Pacquiao vs. Mickey Mouse and you can see that our champ Manny Pacquiao smiles and gave final approval to Mindstyle Philippines for the design and final mock up of the toy figure set. Wow! I didn't expected that the figure is that big.

I got a talk with Manny few days ago and he is happy and said that kids will enjoy to play with the toys and he is very thankful to God for the blessings he receives, hey! having a toy figure side by side with the most popular cartoon character in the world is such an awesome level.

Using ASUS Eee PC 4G with Win XP

I finally installed successfully a Win XP OS to this old ASUS Eee PC, the original OS was Linux and I encounter a lot of problem especially in connecting to the internet and I loss my patience and got the tip in installing the Win XP using our USB thumb drive. I just googled and found some tips in transferring your Win XP installer CD into the USB, I just did it with my broken laptop with a defective DVD drive, so I installed a fresh Win XP to my 4 year old Compaq laptop and it works. I managed to download a software that recovers your Win XP serial number, I lost the S/n when someone threw the CD case in the trash and I'm glad that there's a software that can recover your Win XP S/n from a PC.

After installing everything, I went to this forum as it was shared to my by the gameops.net team and learned on how to solve that hal.dll problem in Asus Eee PC, but its hard to bypass it, but then I discovered that installing the Win XP in a USB should be inserted in the left side of the netbook. After installing, I went to ASUS drivers download and installed everything. Win XP works properly now and I love using it and carry it with me. May silbi na din sa wakas itong ASUS Eeepc 4G.

You know that its hard to trouble shoot this machine, and because of this successful experiment, no need now to buy a new netbook. Muntikan pa naman ako bumili ng HP mini few weeks ago.

Another code name for another project that the main reason I am busy today, been writing and attending meetings and my brain started to run normal and even that the sleepless night comes and priorities are coming from left to right, it means that I should not stop working and blog right now. Some people are laughing behind my back and said that I might be stuck at home taking care of my kid, and I laugh at them back and they didn't know that I'm much more busier in many things, not just in blogs or events.


I'm cooking up something and this is just one of the many projects I'm handling for 2010. I was riding a cab going to SM MOA and then we got stuck in traffic in Makati and the cab stopped in the middle of the rail road, we looked from left to right and see if there's any train coming, and then the incident might remind me that I should look,listen and stop .. study, observe and make a right decision.

Zeong is the code name of the project, the word comes from that mobile suit armor of Char Aznable from the Gundam anime series.

Hanging out with pinoy otakus

Great meet up yesterday at Conway's bar in Makati Shangri La with anime fans, otaku bloggers, gamers and cosplayers at the Animax press con. Awesome to hang out with our online friends which we usually talk about anything about anime, games, movies, toys (and hentai) aahaaha. It was a great meet up and conversation when OLD and NEW otakus meet and share different thoughts about the fandom and the undying anime industry and pop culture, also we share different titles need to watch or read and it was like a sharing of ideas of old geeks and modern geeks.

I'm lazy to blog today, so Im going to share you this pic for as of now, I'll have a good write up about the event and also an announcement from Animax.
