Dark Horse Comics : Tales of Fear Agents launch and autograph signing with artist Mark Torres

Comic Odyssey will have another comic event this September 11, 2010 in their Robinsons Galeria branch. They will launch the new comic from Dark Horse Comics, Tales of Fear Agent # 29 and with a special appearance of Mark Torres at the event, the comic artist featured in that issue. There will be a raffle off an original artwork by Mark Torres and open the floor for everyone to meet Mark in person and have their comics autographed. Event will start at 1pm-3pm.

Bed Linens and Comforters 101 with Dream Home

Dream Home, an exclusive brand of Canadian Manufacturing for SM Hypermarket invited us to have a mini talk and lecture all about bed linens. It was a fun night at SM Hypermarket in Harrison Plaza and it was my first time to be there, I didn’t event know that there’s a SM Hypermarket near the old Harrison Plaza mall. You know that I sucked in shopping, especially when it comes to stuff for our house or room, you see that I let my mom or my sister or even my wife to decide the design and the rightful brand for bed linens. I don’t even know about colors and how it matches a person’s mood, or the quality and the importance of saving your money in getting a better brand, well, Im glad that this event activity did gave some head ups about their brand and how we can select a good brand for bed linens. Prostate Cancer and GSK's 1st drug that can reduce the risk of cancer in the Philippine

Prostate Cancer is an alarming case for the males, and a guy like me should be aware and learn more about Prostate Cancer, it’s the 4th leading cause of death and cases and dub also as a silent killer for males. I went to this press con about Prostate cancer in order to be aware and be ready if ever it hits me, I’m kinda horrified when I learned on how they treat it and also the DRE test using a finger and insert it a guy’s anus to check if there are swelling or cancer inside it. Prostate cancer can hit a 20-30 year old guy and in that range of age it is hard to tell and detect if you have it, but around 50 years old, you can notice the symptoms and the complication and spread of cancer will begin. my coverage: Cosplay battle at Elife Eton Cyberpod

There was a cosplay event and contest few weeks ago inside Elife Eton Cyberpod Corinthian, that’s the new building with gaming and tech hub located in Ortigas Ave (infront of Robinsons Galeria). Anime fans went there to witness the final competition of their weekly event and contest for cosplay, I didn’t expected that that there will be giant robots and dead pop stars roaming the venue, okay I should clear that they are just fans in costumes and not real robots or dead pop star. The four week cosplay activity was called Cosplay Genre Wars, each weekend there will be a cosplay battle and contest with theme of anime, comics, video game and manga, it’s a battle of different genres in one event. Three winners were awarded in the finals and received P5,000, P10,000 and P15,000. (more below)

my coverage: Tikman ang tagumpay sa Chowking

I just witnessed the new branding for Chowking few weeks ago and I didn't expected that they announced a big line up of celebrities as their endorser for the new Chowking and celebrating it in an event and launch of their new mantra - Tikman and Tagumpay. I was there with the media and took some photos of the event activities, although I arrived late but I'm impressed that this new Chowking just inspired me to work hard in order to become successful, I almost cried when I saw Kuya Ef's video presentation, and its fun to see kids run towards him with the classroom kariton, the kids are excited to learn more and receive free quality education from Efren's team. And I didn't know that Gerald Anderson is only a regular celebrity fan who visits ABS CBN's studio to take pics with the celebs, and sympre, the inspiring tv ad of Jericho Rosales who turns out to be a fish vendor and fish delivery boy. Avon Baby : The Avon product line for your baby

Avon releases their new line for your baby, the Avon Baby, it includes a moisturizing lotion,head to toe wash and shampoo and soothing oil. We just got some samples and use it to our baby Ashton at home, and then me and my wife argued which bath partner is the best, if it’s the Avon Baby or the other brand, It took me some days to admit that the Avon Baby is better than the other brand, okay, Ashton loves it and there’s a good scent of Ashton from top to bottom, and I like it na din. The delivery boy just missed my home, but its okay, the big boss might be having a new idea for this project. I was expecting to have a big event with them, but I'm glad it didn't pushed through because I organized the Blogger Fiesta Manila and it will be a conflict. I'm not sure if the higher ups is contented on the idea of getting me as the organizer, or will they stick in getting big time events organizer for the project, but as they said, the competitor spends a lot of cash and energy in promoting their new gimik, and this company that Im working on a defunct project wants to save money and never go crazy massive advertising their gimik.

Its a bright move that they have other options, and yes, the internet still beats the traditional way of advertising, and less expensive. I'm going to bury now this defunct project and as they say,they will get in touch with me if ever the big boss is ready to start the big horse race again.

Project Igloo prodution note 1

I didn't expected that I'm working on a new project for a long run and I'm going to start writing and make my brains work for this new project that I dubbed as Project Igloo. The wonders of events organizing is back again in our blood and I'm doing new, cool and crazy concepts that I'm sure everyone will enjoy it. This is big and I'm happy that my input is needed in designing and conceptualizing new attractions and gimiks for this upcoming project which will be materializes in a couple of weeks. Tomorrow will be the big presentation, and I'm glad that someone will be there to do the talks for me, I will be out tomorrow to attend some events and right now, I'm going to finish all of these paper works.

HBO garners 25 Emmy awards for The Pacific, Entourage 7 and many other HBO Original productions

I just missed watching the Emmy A Wards for this year but its okay, because one of my favorite series - The Pacific, just won as the most outstanding mini series, outstanding art direction for a mini series/movies and outstanding casting for a miniseries/movies. And as a way of thanking everyone, the HBO Original Series - The Pacific will return to HBO as an encore run this September 5, 2010 at 11am and 12:05am as a part of an Emmy Special, its a 2 episodes back to back weekly.

Wow! Congrats to the whole team of The Pacific. In other news from HBO, they got 101 nominations and received 25 Emmy Awards, as I heard that HBO got most of it than any network for 2010.

TECH: Samsung introduces their own Android tablet - Samsung Galaxy Tab

Samsung announced their new product line in their own press conference hours ago at the Samsung in 2010 IFA in Berlin, Germany, and I missed the press con in live stream and I was late for about an hour when they did the press con and I waited for their press release the entire day, but here it is and this is to introduce the SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB (Model GT:P1000), this is the very first tablet by Samsung that is powered by Android OS 2.2.

Users can now experience a PC like web browsing and enjoy multimedia content in this light weight tablet with a 7 inch TFT LCD display screen. Also they can use the tablet in sending emails, voice and video calls, SMS and MMS, and also for social networking. It is also support Adobe Flash Player 10.1, and you will have a more smooth viewing of every web pages when you load it in the Samsung Galaxy Tab. (more below)

I just received this via email and I want to share this to everyone, I'm excited to work with this international photographer, and I met him before already in a local party event and wow! check out his portfolio!

As you may know, I'm a photographer from San Francisco who is based here now in Manila. I have been able to shoot actor Martin Sheen, musician Mark Hoppus (Blink 182), actor Kevin Sorbo (Hercules), athlete Jerry Rice, comedian Chris Tucker, and others. Locally, I've been able to shoot Cristine Reyes, Rhian Ramos, Diether Ocampo, Angelica Panganiban, Angel Aquino, and Jake Cuenca. I have been published in local and international glossies and mostly shoot fashion.

The reason why I'm emailing you is that I am undergoing a personal project of mine to photograph some of the most influential bloggers here in the Philippines. And I would like to start with you. That is, if you're interested.

I didn't expected that they will have a press con today and I just saw Steve Job's glowing face from their press con today and I prayed for a faster internet connection to watch their press con in live video stream. Steve looks more excited and he presented to us their new products and cool upgrades in their Apple line up. I'm going to list here some great news and time to update your Christmas wishlist, because all of these new ipods will be available next week in the USA.

TECH: Apple live streaming press con today at Sept 2 @ 1AM Manila time

I just received a media alert from our local PR about the livestreaming of the press conference of Apple that will happen today September 2, 2010 at 1:00AM Manila, Philippines time. The important announcement can be viewed via a live video stream at www.apple.com.

To watch the live video stream you are required to watch it in a Mac book running in Safari, or from an Iphone, Ipod Touch and Ipad.

I don't know what will be the big announcement and its sad that I don't have a Mac here at home, so I'll just get updates from Twitter and some blogs.

Ice Ice Watch baby!

I just received this invitation for the launch of Ice Watch tonight, and I'm not familiar yet with this watch brand and after doing some research and learned that they a Belgium based watch brand and now they are here in the Philippines. They already did some mall tours and tonight we will look at it and see how these Ice Watches are called toy watches.
