#ChristmasAroundthePH: Kids sent letters to Santa and got their Christmas wish come true at SM Southmall

For our 8th Christmas Around the PH blog series, we are here at SM Southmall to witness a Christmas grand event that made our heart melt after we learned that Santa will be here to grant the Christmas wishes of 70+ kids who wrote him a letter at SM Southmall.

The most heart melting moments is that one of the kids wished for school supplies for her cousin because they now live with no parents to look after them. Its a sad story to hear but its a heart warming moments when kids wish a Christmas gift for other people and not for themselves.

So that's really the spirit of Christmas...bringing joy to others and sharing of blessings.

We learned that SM Southmall invited all shoppers to participate in sending Letters to Santa when they purchase a PHP 200 pair of Bears of Joy. These bears are from SM Cares, you keep one bear and the other will be donated to their chosen charity.

Its a month long promo and the culminating event is here at SM Southmalls' Christmas center piece featuring Winter Forest Christmas

All kids received kids from Santa, but around 10 kids were pre-selected from a draw and got them what they wish for this Christmas.

Some kids wished for some toys, school supplies, clothes and even bonding time with the family. Santa gave all of it and they are so lucky to received it on the spot at this event in SM Southmall.

Its great to meet and see our friend Marybeth Nave as the event host of that day. We lost contact after her Twitter got hacked and now we're back as friends on Facebook.

Three kids got their wish come true, they were awarded with gift certificates that can be used to buy their gifts. One kid got a PHP5000 GC for National Book Store, then the 2nd kid got a PHP 5000 gc for H&M store and 3rd kid received a PHP5000 GC shopping spree at Toy Kingdom.

After awarding the grand gift to lucky kids. Santa read the kids' letter and then called them one by one to award them the gift they wished for.

Kids are so lucky that day!
I can see from their face that they are so happy!
I wish that we can have this in all SM Supermalls branches.

BEHIND THE SCENES

My Merry the bear is with me again and we're so happy that the next mall visit is located at the south. We're both southerners and we're happy that our next visit is here at SM Southmall.

Im still having a hang over from our travel from SM City Fairview, but my travel going here to SM Southmall is just 4o minutes away from home.

After the event, we went here at Contis to eat some snacks.
wow! its been a long time since I ate at Contis. Their Mango Bravo cake is still the best ever!

When I failed to buy something at Miniso in SM City Fairview because of the long line and short stay in that mall, I finally bought some items for gifts here at Miniso SM Southmall, so I bought 6 items and lined up for almost 30 minutes.

SM Southmall did helped me in my last minute Christmas shopping. I ended my Christmas shopping here at around 10pm.

I ate my dinner here at Buku Buku Kafe in SM Southmall. I can say that their branch here is the best and most Instagrammish restaurant ever!

Im a fan of their 1st store in Imus, Cavite, but their branch here in SM Southmall is big and every corners and walls has a story tell.
