COVERAGE: Daddy's Pet event @ One Esplanade, SM MOA

daddys pet event
We spend the afternoon here at the Daddy's Pet event in One Esplanade, SM MOA Complex. Lace saw this ad in a local blogsite and got the idea to spend our 1st father's day event with Ashton, her mom, sis and niece. I'm glad that there are some activities and booths inside the hall and the main stage and pet activity was located outside the hall of One Esplanade. Donita Rose and Alex Crisano are the host of the show, they featured to us some kinds of dog trainings and stunts done by German Sheperds and police dogs. Various activities were also held inside the hall, like free hair cut and foot spa for dads, photo op, pet dog meet and greet, adopt a pet cat, free make over for your pets, playroom for kids, shopping and lots of merchandise offers.

A crowd of people pops up outside as a large team of Siberian Huskies were there roaming and its fun to see a group of huskies in a dog show. It was a show off and tell about pets and also teaching kids on how to take care of their pets and understand the responsibility in sheltering them at home.

and after this event, I went to a local pet store the other day and start looking for husky puppy :)

FASHION: The 9 electric lives of La Roux

Continuing our fashion feature and preview for Flaunt Magazine issue 109 for their fashion edition. Check the interview with La Roux.

Type Elly Jackson’s name into Google and before you can even get past the J-a-c, the search engine will suggest: “Elly Jackson sexuality.” Other suggested searches will lead you to read about the young singer’s hair (a fiery swoop often compared to an artfully coiffed ‘80s act), her mother (star of a British TV show The Bill), and her age (she turned 22 in March). Overexposure, Jackson is finding out, comes with the territory of pop stardom in the 21st century. (more below)

FASHION: Chris Egan fashion feature

The young actor challenges his comfort zone in search of promising new leads.

It never rains in l.a. yeah, right. Tell that to the sheets of water sending sprays across the balcony of this seaside motel, where inside actor Chris Egan lays shivering between blankets during a break from shooting photos. “Can I do the interview in bed?” he asks, his arms hugging his body, trembling. It’s cold and miserable and there’s no sign of letting up, but somehow Egan manages a mischievous smile and a peppy nod. So, the interview is done in bed. (more below)

MOVIES: Chris Nolan's film "INCEPTION" will invade your dreams

Director-writer Christopher Nolan follows up “The Dark Knight’s” blockbuster success with Warner Bros.’ new sci-fi action-thriller “Inception” starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
The acclaimed filmmaker reveals that he began creating the world of “Inception” almost a decade before he made the movie. “About ten years ago, I became fascinated with the subject of dreams, about the relationship of our waking life to our dreaming life,” Nolan explains. “I’ve always found it to be an interesting paradox that everything within a dream—whether frightening, or happy, or fantastic—is being produced by your own mind as it happens, and what that says about the potential of the imagination is quite extraordinary. I started thinking how that could be applied to a grand-scale action movie with a very human dimension.”

MOVIES: Laurence Fishburne vs. Predators

laurencefisburne in Predators
Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez presents a bold new chapter in the Predator universe, “Predators,” shot on location under Rodriguez’s creative auspices at the filmmaker’s Austin-based Troublemaker Studios, directed by Nimrod Antal. With the exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human “predators” that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators.
