COVERAGE: adidas Originals Street Party at The Venice Piazza, Mckinley Hills

adidas party collage
The Venice Piazza Mall Open Park in Mckinley Hills just experienced a massive street party by adidas and it was well attended by different people from the arts, music, extreme games, sports, pop culture realm. The adidas originals Street Party is the first party we have here inManila to celebrate the street as the roots of authencity, style and originality. It was a fun night and event that I arrive 3 hours late, I noticed that the party just started with people dancing, fireworks and fashion show . I saw the 501st Legion Philippine Outpost (aka Star Wars people in costume) trooping around and funny to see our friends getting crazy to have a chance to hug Darth Vader.

The booze is everywhere, fish balls, hotdogs, all of it are free. There are a lot of booth of activities, games and a free personalize artwork for your adidas shoes. Skateboarders, fire dancers, BMX riders, hip hop dancers are everywhere and the night never stop.

adidas really show us how to organize a party, and I can say this is the best party ever in Manila. Free stuff for everyone and I took home a Darth Vader bobble head toy while my friends got this animal soccer player stuff toy.

Laptop is now officially dead

I now declared that my laptop Compaq C500 is now dead.

it crashed while I'm working and now it reboots over and over again. The Win XP got corrupted and now I'm having a hard time recover all those files, and bad part is that my dvd rom is also dead. I bought this laptop after my graduation last 2007, and its a gift from my parents.

so right now, im trying to fix this by using this method How to Install Windows XP using a USB Drive / Flash Drive the EASIEST way

me and Lace already decided to buy a new laptop.
but the problem is that, my money is needed for the baby delivery in the coming 2 weeks.

and I need to work hard to earn more. ohh great.

will use other resources and try the old pc here at home, but I'm having problems using it, coz the hard drive is slow and old, and it will crash anytime.

going to revive this, and if it fails. all blogging activities will be delayed for the moment.

COVERAGE: Microsoft Bloggers Night @ 6750

A night of techie fun with our fellow bloggers at the Microsoft Bloggers Night that was held at 6750 in Makati. Me and Lace arrived there at around 8pm and we got late and everyone finished their dinner and the talk or seminar already started. I got there in time for presenting the Bing Maps, JayveeF and a guy from Microsoft discuss to us the power and use of these Bing Maps with 3D and photosynth features.

Make sure your email is valid, and reply to soneone's comment post is not accepted.

Mechanics 2
Another chance to win is that you post a blog about the concert, insert the concert poster, the venue, time and date, event website, and add one or more videos of any artist who are featured in the poster, and a hyperlink going back here in this blog post. Post your blog url here in my comments board, and you will win not only 10 tickets, but also a possible meet/greet with the artist. Sounds fun di ba? so let's get it on!

multiple comments and multiple blog posts are accepted :)
but we limit a one comment and blog post entry per day.

The Laptop Shutdown

I'm so disappointed last night that my laptop crashed while reading this document from a client, and I didn't expected that the document I downloaded was opened to only and used all my laptop's memory, I wasn't aware and that 20MB file opened only in the memory and accessed by my document reader, I found it out when my laptop began to slow down and didn't saw the downloaded file in my desktop.

I tried to close the reading software and then my mouse just crawled and it failed to reach the "X" close button, then I saw the heavenly act of blue screen of death. I didn't panic and decided to reboot my laptop and start all over again. I noticed that the boot up of my laptop began to slow down, it took more than 10 minutes to load that Windows XP logo out of my screen and then when it completes to reboot, all of my icons were gone in my desktop, my wifi, audio, and other apps were gone.

I decided to reboot again and waited for another 10 minutes, but the 10 minutes reaches more than 15 minutes. I decided to watch Pinoy Big Brother in the room, but then I fell asleep while waiting, and then when I woke up and look at my laptop. OMG! the reboot is not yet finished.
And because that I'm so pissed off already and will miss a deadline that night, I forced shut down my laptop and let it sleep for the whole evening, then after waking up in the morning, I checked my laptop and it seems to work properly and more faster.

oh wow! I think my laptop needs to rest after that all those stress. I already got an idea to buy a new laptop, but my budget is low and need to raise more money for Lace's pregnancy and delivery in the coming weeks, so I need to be careful now and need not to stress my laptop, because this is my life partner for since 2007, and for around 4 years this baby did a lots of job for me. So dear laptop, thanks for coming back to life and don't leave me hanging heheheh.

lessons learned, let our laptop sleep for 10 hours and give it a pampering massage.

Boracay 2010 day 3 - photowalk by the beach

Here's another photowalk session in Boracay after attending a press briefing and event of Philips: Wellness in Paradise. It was hot that day, but I love to see the blue skies and fluffy clouds in the sky, sea water is high and few people are roaming around the beach at 10am to 3pm. I went around and sometimes stay in one place taking pics with my Olympus E 520 and 150mm zoom lens. After publishing my day 2 photo walk in Bora, I just got this idea to create a photo blog all about Boracay, hm will just do that if ever I have the time or maybe in my next visit this year.

We attended a yoga class on the day 2 of our Boracay stay and as part of the Philips : Wellness in Paradise event. Me and the invited media and bloggers experienced a a session with a yoga foreigner instructor. This is my first time to try yoga and because I'm so lazy to try this at home with my wife infront of a yoga video, but having a session with a yoga master is very different and I start to like yoga now. We did lots of twisting and I felt a good feeling and breathe using my nose only. I recovered after the one hour session and my yoga mates got lucky to try the Philips Infracare machine to remove all the muscle stress and it serve as a pain reliever.

Make a Stand for Democracy Now

Elections should always be about change, about hope and the chance to start anew. But while this strong pillar of democracy should be all about the collaborative power of the Filipino people to choose leaders that they believe and trust in, history has shown that some have chosen to wrest power through violence, brutality and bloodshed.
