At the procession - Feast of the Black Nazarene 2015 part 5

Here’s my final blog post for my coverage of the Feast of the Black Nazarene 2015. I thought that I’ll missed the arrival of the image in Lawton, and at around 3pm, I’m surprised that I can still catch up and meet Senor Nazareno. I’m so happy that he waited for me to arrive – because I was late to attend the mass and took a lot of time to finish my lunch in Ongpin. I was worried that I might skip the procession, but I’m glad that I still pursued to walk from Ongpin to Lawton and there I was greeted by Senor Nazareno.

Sa Lido Restaurant, Century Egg and Quicksnack meal time - Feast of the Black Nazarene 2015 part 4

My plan that day is to eat lunch in Quicksnack, while I was on the way to Carvajal st. I saw a message from my wife and she wants a century egg from Ongpin. So I skipped on my lunch for the mean time and went around Ongpin for that century egg.

Buildings in Escolta st. - Feast of the Black Nazarene 2015 part 3

My tummy starts to crumble because its past lunch time. I walked down to Escolta st. as my short cut going to Binondo st. Walking in Escolta is like a travel to the past. Old buildings with designs that dated 1920-30s. Some buildings are controversial like the El Hogar building that was scheduled to be demolished but now its on hold because many people are against it because the art designs and the building is a heritage structure that needs to be preserved.

Infront and around Quiapo Church- Feast of the Black Nazarene 2015 part 2

After some zombie steps from Recto, it took me around 20 or maybe 30 minutes to arrive here in Quiapo Church. It was a great timing because I arrive during the start of the mass, whew!

And I always stand here iin frontand outside the church. I want to go inside but its too crowded. The weather was cloudy, and glad there’s no sun at around 12nn, but there are some chances of drizzles but I’m glad it didn't pour so hard.

On my way to Quiapo Church–Feast of the Black Nazarene 2015 part 1

Its another time of the year, its the 1st feast for the entire year and I’m glad its here in Manila, I was prepared for this, but then I realized I’m not fully prepared. I left home so late and arrived here in Recto, Manila at around 11:30am, compare to my regular visit in Quiapo Church, I usually arrive at around 9am and attend mass at an early schedule.

But my story started when cameras are low batt, I woke up early and started doing some morning chores with my son and then I got the time to charge my gadgets and get updated on what’s going on at the procession of the Black Nazarene.

Snails for lunch in Tagaytay with 20C temp weather (Gerry’s Grill) - new year 2015 tripcation part 3

Welcome to my day 2 post of our Tagaytay new year 2015 tripcation. It’s been 3 years since I tasted a kuhol snail with coconut sauce. And I didn’t expected that we will eat it here in Gerry’s Grill. When my wife saw it on their menu, she ordered it and she ate almost all snails hahahaa.

She also reveals that its one of her backyard farm project to breed kuhol snails. We saw some tips in youtube and some blog post and we learned that its so easy to breed snails.
