I got lucky to check out the new hotel branch of Tune Hotels here in Manila, and the new and 6th hotel branch of Tune Hotels with 140 rooms is located in 100 Timog Ave. Quezon City, it’s a few blocks away from the MRT Kamuning Station and GMA network, consider it as the main landmark if you want to know where it is located. I became a fan of Tune Hotels after I tried staying for 4 days in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia few weeks ago (you can read my story here)

A birthday project, he aims to bring the same magic "Free Comic Book Day"  casts on kids every May to the hospital rooms, giving children limited by their medical condition an escape from the trauma of sickness and an inspiration to dream and most importantly, hope that everything works out in the end.

Lost in Malaysia part 5–Sri Kulai, the ready to heat and eat Halal food

It’s funny that I’ll be blogging this food, but its an amazing food for me and this is not available here in our country, I found this convenience store inside Tune Hotels and they sell this ready to heat and eat food. There’s a wide selection of Malaysian food that are stored in a paper box and displayed inside the refrigerator. I approached the counter and saw that each pack of meal is priced at around RM9 to RM11.

Lost in Malaysia part 4–in Publika Mall (arts, store, café, music and nice beer)

Kuala Lumpur Day 1 – We finally got out of our rooms in Tune Hotels and we meet up with that day in Publika Mall. We’re not familiar yet going to some places in KL because we haven’t started yet our adventure after checking in our hotel. The three of us just stayed in the room for some hours and chat via Facebook, then I got the idea to send a message to Rebecca aka Becky via Twitter to let her know that we are in KL, there might be a good tip from her about the best food and places to visit here in KL, I like to check out the latest here in KL and not the tourist spot which usually been visited by everyone, we want to go to a place that is not a common place for tourist like us, but we are very thankful that Becky agreed to meet us and her suggestion is to meet us here in Publika Mall. I did some Google Maps searches and found that there’s no bus or train going to that area, and its far from our hotel, but Becky suggested that we take a taxi cab and it will be just minutes away from our hotel.

Lost in Malaysia part 3–our 4 days stay at Tune Hotels Downtown KL

After our first flight booking for Malaysia, we don’t know yet where we stay for 4 days, I started to save money for a hotel and my plan is to get a cheaper hotel for the three of us, and then Raffy mentioned that he got a free stay at Tune Hotels, but the free stay will expire in the next coming months, so he wrote to Tune Hotels if its possible to extend the gift certificate and also if they are willing to sponsor 3 bloggers for 4 days in KL. It was a worth a try to contact a hotel directly and propose that idea, but we didn’t expected that they are open to it and agree that they can give a free stay for us for 4 days. Awesome!!! thanks Tune Hotels! and thanks to Tune Hotels’ marketing person Andrew Oon for helping with us the arrangements.

I heard of Tune Hotels here in Manila, they have branches here in the Philippines and at first I thought that it is a local hotel in Manila, but it’s a hotel originated from Malaysia and also they have many branches in other countries. Their specialty is that you’ll experience a five star sleeping experience by paying a one star price accommodation. It is a pay as you use and pay as you go hotel, means that you can pay for the services you want, and you can remove some of hotel components and add only the services that you need, for example, you will just sleep here and don’t want to use the TV, internet or even airconditioner, you can pay just the room only, or either way,you can pay for an add on if you want those other services. Why they do this? because if there’s a low cost carrier price, then there should be a low cost hotel service available for budget travelers.

Lost in Malaysia part 2–breakfast in Marrybrown resto at LCCT

Here’s my first food blog post inline with our trip to Malaysia. After our arrival at LCCT, we searched for the best resto for our breakfast, we want to try something new, there are lots of fast food joints and café located outside terminal, but when we found this Marrybrown restaurant infront of McDonalds, we decided to just eat here and try their menu.

I learned that Marybrown is Canadian in origin, and I’m not familiar yet about the specialty of this resto, and at first I thought it was a Malaysian fast food. I read some info from their website that their specialty is the Marybrown friend chicken, hmmm its like our Jollibee’s Chickenjoy.

Lost in Malaysia part 1–the plans, the flight and booking dramas and arrival in KL

This is the start of my new blog series featuring our trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we dubbed this trip “Lost in Malaysia” because we got lost so many times around the city, hahahaa. Its our 2nd time here in KL and its not a junket trip and we went here by ourselves. I am with my travel blogger buds - Raffy of and Enzo of , Our trip and adventure is documented in a 11 part video blog series that you can watch it here at

Me and Enzo was here before in KL via a junket organized by Zest Air, and then Raffy was in another junket trip the same day and he went to Kota Kinablu. We got separated from both junket trip because we thought that we will be flying together, but we didn’t know that there are two separate junket flights – in KL and in Kota Kinabalu.
